Me and two buddies were driving across the country on a road trip. We ended up staying at War Axe state rec area and decided to give Mary Chuy a try for dinner. We ordered the Carne Asada, Special Quesadilla, and The Chile Colorado with some chips and guac. All were excellent and the price and portions are very fair. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone driving through or anyone in the area. 10/10

On a road trip from Denver passing through; the ambience is lacking but the food more than makes up for it! And that's really all that matters. The food was wonderful. We had steak and chicken tacos and the flavors were delicious. We also bought corn and flour tortillas to go, take advantage of this little wonderful hole in the wall!!

This place, for a small town Mexican place, is great on food for the price. They cater on the side, so they know tasty food. Plus, the bakery! The food is very reasonable. Its well worth driving from Kearney, or even off I-80. Check the hours though.

The food was awesome & the people were very friendly. The restaurant & bathroom was extremely clean. And if go about an hour after they open, the pastries are just coming out of the oven hot & fresh. Ask for a pastry called a "pan de rocka." Its a sweet cinnamon bread. And WOW!

Always great chips and salsa, had the Speedy Gonzales for lunch, and another guy had a California burrito. Street tacos are always great and rice and beans are good. Don't forget to take home some tortillas.
